Incorporate microgreeens into sauces and spreads to make them both delicious and nutritious.

Ingredients:

  • One slice each, smoked or baked turkey, ham.
  • One slice plain havarti cheese.
  • Two teaspoons mayonnaise.
  • One-half ounce mixed tangy radish greens (e.g., sango, rambo...)
  • One or two leaves lettuce any variety, red or green leaf recommended.
  • Dash lemon juice.
  • Bread of choice, whole grain recommended.

Procedure:

  1. Chop greens at 1/4 inch 10mm spacing.
  2. Mix greens with mayonnaise in small dish.
  3. Spread mayonaise, greens mix on both slices of bread.
  4. Pile turkey, cheese, ham, spreading additional flavorings sparingly as desired on one slice of bread. Cap with other bread slice.

Accompaniments:

  • Celery spear(s) cut in sections and filled with peanut butter or cream cheese.
  • Soft drink, lager or rosé.
